Checking in on year long intentions.

Year Long Intentions :: 2016

Admittedly, it’s a tad late in the year to be checking in on my year long intentions set back in January. The middle of the year, however, came and went with higher priorities!

Daily intentions: moisturize, read and move.

Pleased to say I managed to stay true to each of these intentions. With moisturizing likely falling short more frequently than the other two. Setting time aside to read each day has become a lovely part of my life. I still have an ample supply of books and magazines to thumb through. Instead of reading being a task it’s now a simple pleasure. Moving, more specifically outside, is a critical part of my day. In addition to absorbing much needed Vitamin D, I love this time for thinking, taking deep {fresh} breathes and being in nature.

Ongoing intentions: eight hours or sleep, acts of kindness and writing.

Two of these have been easy, the third has almost been obsolete. Unfortunately. My body and I are happy to share eight hours of sleep happens almost every single night. I realize this is a true gift as most of my friends have little ones interrupting their sleep patterns. With gratitude, I am pleased to say opportunities for random acts of kindness tend to fall in my lap. And each one has been fulfilling and heartwarming. Writing has rarely happened, despite setting several monthly intentions to focus on pulling out one of the many journals in my possession. This will definitely be turned into a daily intention for 2017. Writing was once a big part of my day-to-day life.

Did you set year long intentions for 2016? If so, how are they coming along?
