Grand Teton National Park
The truth is, I traveled to Grand Teton National Park to see a moose. I am mildly obsessed with seeing a moose in the wild, as they have eluded me for years.
Recommended Hikes
While visiting Grand Teton National Park, I stayed off the trails. The grizzlies were quite active in the park and I was traveling alone. That said, I took notes for hikes to enjoy in the future.
Two Ocean Lake - a 6.4 mile moderate hike circling the lake through forests and meadows.
Emma Matilda Lake - a 10.7 moderate hike around the lake offering views of the Teton Range from the ridge.
Holly Lake - 13 mile, strenuous hike through Paintbrush Canyon, forests and wildflower meadows to an alpine lake.
Paintbrush-Cascade Loop - a 19 mile, very strenuous hike combining the Paintbrush and Cascade Canyons through the Paintbrush Divide. An ice axe may be required through July.
Inspiration Point - a 6 mile moderate-strenuous hike overlooking Jenny Lake.
Amphitheater Lake - 10.1 mile strenuous hike to glacial lakes surrounded by meadows.
