Horseshoe Bend, located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, is a unique and spectacular horseshoe-shaped turn in the Colorado River, located just south of Page, Arizona. My first visit was this past spring, at sunset.

Overlook Location

Horseshoe Bend is located five miles downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. The overlook is accessible after a half mile, sandy hike just off US Route 89. There are no railings at the cliff, so please use caution during your visit.
