While looking at a map, planning my route home, I saw a little park symbol for the Natural Bridge Park in Alabama. After a few minutes of research, this new find became part of my whirlwind around the country trip. An excellent last minute addition!

The park is small with an easy, short trail to the natural bridge. The bridge measures in at 60 feet tall and 148 feet long. This is the longest known natural bridge east of the Rockies.

In addition to the hike, there are picnic areas and a gift shop.
