Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site

While making my way to western Pennsylvania for a family reunion, I stopped at the Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site. This was the first railroad to bypass the Allegheny Mountains.

The park visitor center has a movie, sharing the park story. Other highlights are the nature trail to Engine House 6 Exhibit Shelter and the Lemon House.
