Back in November, I visited Mesa Verde National Park for the first time. Long overdue. I have driven by the park entrance on several occasions, while exploring southwest Colorado. Arriving shortly before sunset, I enjoyed a leisurely walk down to the Spruce Tree House.

After walking through the Spruce Tree House, I drove the Mesa Top Loop, stopping at the Square Tower House overlook and the Sun Point View. This was the view looking down.

While heading back to the park entrance, I made a quick stop to take in the lavender and light blue sunset sky from the Park Point Overlook. Snow capped mountains were a perfect last look, before nightfall.
