Mount Lemmon is one of my favorite places in Tucson, Arizona. The drive is spectacular with scenic views and vastly changing ecosystems. Plus, the temperatures are always a bit cooler as the elevation climbs, making it a perfect escape during the summer months.

Favorite Hikes

• Aspen Draw Trail - I have only hiked one trail on Mount Lemmon and it was coming down the Aspen Draw Trail after taking the ski lift up the mountain. The tall trees, shaded areas and quiet hike was enjoyable. There was a massive fallen tree on the trail and managing to get over to the other side was quite comical. This is also a popular mountain biking trail. This hike is 2.4 miles round-trip.

• Windy Point Vista - I have hiked around the popular Windy Point Vista stop many times. An ideal spot to watch the sun set over Tucson.
