While heading south from Durango Colorado, to my old home in Arizona, I noticed a sign on the side of the road for Petrified Forest National Park. Naturally, I decided to pop in and take a look around.

Admittedly, I was a bit tired from my fall foliage trip and spent most of my time in the car only stopping at overlooks. My favorite was overlooking the dunes. I loved the dynamic range of color and wish I would have hiked the paved trail below.
