Pink and Coral Tulips
Tulips have been my favorite flower for many years. I love the mixture of soft and bold colors on the delicate petals.
We had a very rainy spring with massive raindrops, pummeling all the flowers. After a long week of heavy rain, I thought these tulips were goners.
To my surprise, when I went outside, the tulips looked more radiant than the week prior. Their patience to bloom served them well and the rain did little damage.
I easily spent thirty minutes photographing all this set of tulips, creating different compositions and focal points. This capture was my favorite. The far petal is preparing to open, showing the bright coral color beneath the pink exterior.
My only regret is not taking time to photograph these tulips once they opened. Perhaps I will get lucky and they will pop up again next spring.
